About Foreign Domestic Helper Hiring Process How long will be the process to hire a housemaid?
- Selection of Foreign Domestic Helper (FDH)
- Deposit payment upon confirmation of FDH
- Selected FDH will proceed for passport and medical
- Employer shall prepare prepare all the necessary documents required by the immigration and arrange to sign the application forms.
- Agency shall responsible to submit all the application to the related department which include JTK, Embassy and Immigration.
- Once the Calling visa is approved, Agency shall coordinate with the oversea recruitment suppliers to comply all requirements in their country.
- Once obtain the Visa, the FDH will fly into Malaysia

- Malaysian citizen or a permanent resident aged 21 years or above.
- Employer must be married.
- Employer which marital status is divorce/widow
- Employer which marital status is single are allow as long as the employer is a female and only can apply to take care parents
- Expatriates & MM2H (Additional guidelines and restrictions apply)
- Annual Income must be at least RM84,000.00/year per household to hire Indonesia domestic helper.
- Taking Care of Children ( below 15th years old)
- Taking Care of Spouse who is sick or above 60years old
- Taking care of Elderly ( Parent or Parent in Laws)
- Cleaning the big house ( 2 storey & above)
- Employer must have valid reasons to support the application and the reasons cannot same as the existing domestic helper
- Employer which marital status is single is not eligible to hire 2nd Domestic helper
About Responsibilities as an Employer
- To be responsible for her upkeep, medical maintenance and welfare.
- To bear the cost of repatriation upon completion of employment contract.
- To contribute SOCSO on monthly basis
- Employer shall not require the domestic helper to work or to engage in any activities other than that related to household duties.
- Employer shall follow the terms and conditions of foreign domestic helper employment contract duly signed with the - Malaysian law/foreign embassy.
- Employer shall respect the differences of cultures and beliefs on regard to the sensitivity of religious of the domestic helper.
- Employer shall not abuse physically/mentally or ill treat foreign domestic helper.
- Employer shall pay the salary on time as date upon arrival in Malaysia.
- Employer shall allow foreign domestic helper to maintain regular communication with the family.
- Employer shall make sure foreign domestic helper have enough rest for at least 8 hours continuous sleep.
- Employers shall not deduct the foreign domestic helper salary for any reason like unintentionally broken or damage the things.
- Employer shall insure maid with the foreign worker compensation scheme in respect of any medical expenses the domestic helper may incur in the event of an injury arises/accident or fall sick during the employment period.
If the housemaid wants to continue to work, the employer needs to renew her work permit as well as her work contract. The employer will need to contact the agency for proper procedure to be process.
